Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – Macedon
October 31, 2015
Mariners are advised that the Erie Canal immediately upstream of, and including, Lock E-30 (Macedon) that had originally been closed to all vessel traffic on Saturday, October 31st due to marine operations blocking the channel at the upper approach will continue to be closed until noon on Sunday, November 1st. Though this section of the Canal may reopen to vessel traffic during this time, mariners should expect significant delays in this location and should plan accordingly.
