Notice to Mariners

Cayuga Seneca Canal – Cayuga Inlet, Ithaca

August 17, 2015

 

Mariners are advised that the Cayuga Inlet portion of the Cayuga-Seneca Canal will be closed to traffic on Tuesday, August 18th for the placement of herbicide to combat the spread of the non-native Hydrilla plant.  Any swimming in the canal is absolutely prohibited in the treatment area until one day after the application of the herbicide.
