Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal Genesee River Spur– City of Rochester
July 7, 2015
Mariners are advised that bridge painting activities on Pedestrian Bridge (E-154A) near Brooks Landing over the Erie Canal, in the City of Rochester, Monroe County are schedule to begin July 8 and continue until October 31. This work is not expected to cause any vertical clearance restrictions. The navigation channel width under the bridge may be slightly reduced but will not significantly affect navigation.
BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION AHEAD signs will be in placed at each end of the work zone and navigation aids will be in place to delineate the work zone.
Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No-Wake" speed when transiting this area.
