Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – Amsterdam
May 19, 2015
Mariners are advised that the speed limit between Amsterdam Riverlink Park and Lock E-11 has been reduced to accommodate construction of the Mohawk Valley Gateway Overlook pedestrian bridge (E-19B) over the Erie Canal.
Mariners shall reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No-Wake" speed when transiting the project area, and under no circumstance shall any vessel exceed 5 MPH.
