August 7, 2020

Mariners are advised of bridge rehabilitation activities that are in progress and on the Port Gibson Bridge E-114 over the Erie Canal in the town of Port Gibson and will continue until the end of the navigation season. Normal overhead clearance will be reduced to 15.7 feet by scaffolding on the south half of the navigation channel. Boaters should use the north side of the channel when passing under the bridge. Construction signs are posted on both sides of the bridge. High intensity flashing lights are located on the scaffolding to alert boaters to the hazard.

Boaters should reduce speed, stop all forward motion, blow horns, and proceed at a "No-Wake" speed when traversing this area.
