Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – Fairport
June 26, 2020
Mariners are advised that the Main Street Lift Bridge E-128 over the Erie Canal in the village of Fairport, Monroe County, has bridge repair activities occurring through end of season. The normal overhead clearance will not be affected. The normal navigation channel width clearance will be reduced to one half the normal width by a barge doing work beneath the bridge. The navigation channel is outlined lined by white buoys.
Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion, and proceed at a “No Wake” speed when traversing this area.
