Notice to Mariners
Erie Canal – Amsterdam
May 8, 2015
Mariners are advised of bridge construction activities for the Mohawk Valley Gateway Overlook pedestrian bridge (E-19B) over the Erie Canal in Amsterdam. Vessels are to use the north half of the channel, which has been delineated with auxiliary navigation buoys. The overhead clearance of the new bridge will be 27.08’.
Mariners should reduce speed, stop all forward motion and proceed at a "No-Wake" speed when transiting this area.
