Notice to Mariners

Oneida Lake – Bridgeport

September 6, 2017

 

Mariners are advised of reports of a new subsurface hazard on Oneida Lake in Billington Bay approximately 200 yards east of Damon Point which has been hit by several vessels.  This is outside of the Erie Canal main channel, 1.8 miles south of marker G “125”.  Mariners needing to get into Billington Bay are advised to approach from an easterly direction at slow speed, with extra caution.
