Notice to Mariners
2012 Navigation Season – Early Opening
April 27, 2012
Mariners are advised the Erie Canal, Oswego Canal and Cayuga/Seneca Canal will open tomorrow, April 28, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. for the 2012 navigation season. The Genesee River is scheduled to open Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at 7:00 a.m. The Champlain Canal is scheduled to open Sunday, April 29, 2012, at 7:00 a.m.
The hours of operation for the 2012 season are as follows:
- May 1 to May 23: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- May 24 to September 5: 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- September 6 to September 28: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- September 29 to November 15: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
