Buoy Removal
November 9, 2011
Mariners are advised that the buoys at channels, outlets and dams at the locations listed below will be removed starting on the following schedule:
- Lock C/S-1(Cayuga) to Lock E-28A (Lyons) dam hazard buoys – Wednesday, November 9, 2011
- Genesee River to Court St. Dam channel buoys – Monday, November 14, 2011
- Lock C-11 (Comstock) dam exclusion buoys– Monday, November 14, 2011
- Lock C-5 (Northumberland) and Lock C-6 (Fort Miller) upper dam barriers - Monday, November 14, 2011
- Lock C-1 (Waterford) upper dam barrier and Lock C-2 (Mechanicville) upper east dam barrier – (Removed)
Boaters should be aware that there will be no navigation aids at these locations and should use extreme caution in these areas. For updates and information monitor 1-800-4CANAL4 and www.canals.ny.gov
