Mariners are advised that the width of the navigation channel beneath the Route 89 Bridge (Bridge E-91) in the town of Tyre has been reduced due to a work barge stationed beneath the bridge for NYSDOT bridge pier repairs. Lighting and signage have been placed on the work barge per U.S. Coast Guard regulations. This work is expected to continue through the end of the 2011 navigation season.
Mariners are instructed to stop all forward motion when entering the work zone and proceed at a “No-Wake” speed.
