Erie Canal – Monroe County Bridge Washing
September 27, 2011
Mariners are advised that bridge washing and deck sealing activities will begin Wednesday, September 28, 2011 on the following bridges:

Elmwood Ave. Bridge E-156A City of Rochester
Interstate 390 Bridge E-169A Town of Gates
Interstate 390 Bridge E-169B Town of Gates
These activities will continue until the end of the day on Tuesday, November 15, 2011.
The work zone will be marked by “Canal Construction Ahead” signs, placed at each end of the work zone. Mariners are instructed to blow vessel horns when approaching these bridges.
Mariners should proceed with caution through these areas, be mindful of your wakes, stop all forward motion and proceed at a “No-Wake” speed.
