Erie Canal - Lock E-6 and Lock E-7

The New York Power Authority (NYPA) has recently notified the Canal Corporation that water levels above Lock E-6 (Crescent), in addition to Lock E-7 (Vischer Ferry) have fallen below levels normally observed, due to (NYPA) flash board damage caused by Hurricane Irene flood waters. Boaters who dock vessels in these areas of the Canal are advised to immediately remove them to avoid damage.
