Mariners are advised that canoe and kayak races will be held at the 24th Annual Canal Fest at Rotary Park Harbor in Little Falls. The races will take place from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM today August 10, 2011, between buoy R 476 to buoy R 486, west of Lock E-17 (Little Falls).
Boaters are reminded to use caution in this area and be mindful of their wakes as twenty-five to thirty-five canoes and kayaks will be participating. Security boats will be located at each end of the race course.
A fireworks display will take place opposite the Rotary Park Harbor at dusk, lasting approximately 20 to 30 minutes. Security boats will be located at each end of the perimeter.
