Mariners are advised that the pool level above Lock E-24 (Baldwinsville) is presently 0.7 feet below published minimum navigation level. The water level between Lock E-24 and E-25 (Mays Point), including Cross Lake, and the Cayuga/Seneca Canal between Lock C/S-1 (Cayuga) and the junction with the Erie Canal are being impacted. The low water levels are occurring due to operational issues at a private hydroelectric generation facility adjacent to Lock E-24. Water levels continue to drop approximately 0.1 to 0.15 feet per day.
Wave Hydro continues to work on restoring operation of their gates.
