Notice to Mariners

Erie Canal – Rochester

Mariners are advised that the navigation channel width at the Erie Railroad Bridge (E -155), in the City of Rochester, Monroe County will be reduced to 100 feet due to construction starting on Tuesday, July 5, 2011. This reduced navigable channel width is expected to be in effect until the end of the day on Friday, September 2, 2011. Normal overhead bridge clearances will not be affected by these activities.
Mariners are reminded to use caution and be mindful of their wakes through this area.
