Notice to Mariners

Submerged Vessel

Mariners are advised that there is a partially submerged barge west of Lock E-18, in the town of East Herkimer/German Flatts, Herkimer County, partially blocking the navigation channel. The partially submerged barge is just west of marker R506, on the north side of the channel. A work vessel is stationed at the site, marked by white navigation lights. The area is also marked with no wake buoys.
Mariners must use caution, stop all forward motion and proceed at a no wake speed when transiting this area.
