Champlain Canal – Bridge Maintenance
June 8, 2011
Mariners are advised that bridge maintenance activities are in progress on NY 196 Bridge (C-18), in the Town of Kingsbury over the Champlain Canal and will continue until the end of the day on Monday, August 1, 2011.
Bridge maintenance activities reduce overhead clearance to 17.5 feet above normal navigation level. The work zone will be marked by “Canal Construction Ahead” signs, placed at each end of the work zone. Mariners are instructed to blow vessel horns when approaching the bridge.
