Champlain Canal Update

Mariners are advised that levels and flows on the Champlain Canal remain high, and mariners should navigate with caution. Bridge clearances may be reduced, buoys may be off station, and mariners may encounter large amounts of debris.
Commercial traffic on the Champlain Canal is restricted to no-wake speed and single barge tows until further notice.
Lock C-12 in Whitehall remains closed to all recreational traffic due to a local state of emergency declaration, and commercial traffic will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on Lake Champlain levels and in coordination with local officials and the U.S. Coast Guard.
