Mariners are advised that dredging operations are in progress in
many locations across the New York State Canal System. These
dredging locations are lighted, have day shapes and arrow boards
displayed.
Boaters are reminded that excessive vessel wakes are detrimental
and dangerous to Canal Corporation employees and equipment. Boaters
are also reminded that they are responsible for their wakes and the
damage that they cause. Please use caution and be mindful of your
vessel wakes when transiting these locations, and pass at a No-Wake
speed.
Mariners should be advised that local and state marine patrols
will enforce posted speed limits.
