MARINERS

Mariners are advised that there is a telephone cable in the
canal, with one end submerged, in the navigation channel at Buoy G
645, at Creager’s Island. This area is located between Lock E-26 and
E-27 in Wayne County.
Boaters may pass with extreme caution, as the cable is submerged
at one end.
For updates and information, mariners are advised to monitor
1-800-4CANAL4 and www.nyscanals.gov. Additionally, mariners may sign
up for automatic e-mail and text message alerts through the Canal TRANSalert service. This service is offered to notify mariners
of major incidents and emergencies that may affect navigation on the
