Lock E-9 to E-10

Mariners are advised that a canoe and kayak regatta will be
taking place between Lock E-9 in Rotterdam, Schenectady County and
Lock E-10 in Cranesville, Montgomery County on Saturday, July 12 and
Sunday, July 13, 2008.
Boaters are reminded to use caution and be mindful of their wakes
as there will be numerous small craft in the area.
For updates and information, mariners are advised to monitor
1-800-4CANAL4 and www.nyscanals.gov. Additionally, mariners may sign
up for automatic e-mail and text message alerts through the new
Canal TRANSalert service. This service is offered to notify mariners
of major incidents and emergencies that may affect navigation on the
New York State Canal System. To register for this service, please
