Mariners are advised that they may experience periodic delays at Lock E-14, in Canajoharie, due to construction work on the adjacent dam (Movable Dam 10).

This work will continue through the next two weeks. Boaters are reminded to use caution when approaching this lock.

For updates and information, mariners are advised to monitor 1-800-4CANAL4 and www.nyscanals.gov. Additionally, mariners may sign up for automatic e-mail and text message alerts through the new Canal TRANSalert service. This service is offered to notify mariners of major incidents and emergencies that may affect navigation on the New York State Canal System.
