Cycling the Erie Canal Bike Tour

July 10-17, 2016

Join people, of all ages and from all over the country for the annual, 8-day, 400-mile, Cycling the Erie Canal bike tour across New York State along the scenic and historic Erie Canal, named a National Heritage Corridor, and enjoy great scenery, interesting history, and unparalleled cycling.

11th Annual Canal Splash!

Celebrate the history, culture, recreational appeal, and beauty of the New York State Canal System and Erie Canalway Trail during the 10 days of Canal Splash!

Friday, August 12 - Sunday, August 21, 2016

Canal Splash! is a coordinated series of locally organized events and activities, that take place along the Canal System and Canalway Trail, including nature and history walks, museum and gallery exhibits, rowing regattas, kayak and canoe outings, musical performances, boat tours and more.

Canal Corridor communities, businesses, clubs, individuals, and non-profit organizations are invited to list events by July 20, 2016. The events must take place during the weekend of August 12 - August 21, 2016 in order to be accepted. The New York State Canal Corporation and its partners will market your event or activity throughout the state for free.

Be part of the statewide festivities! The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
